Just re-read...get a hybrid....c2btx or whatever, if ur half way aggressive you will pick it up well enough and you will have a board that has capacity to progress into.
really the above arguements are about do you want to be a freerider that does all mtn or do you want to be a freestyler that does all mtn...and a hybrid can allow either fr or fs rider to take advantage of the whole mtn with 1 board that can do most tricks to at least some adquate level or measure for most resort riders...kind of a bell curve thing. My hill happens to support, i.e., has great freeriding terrain or terrain for big mtn freestyle...not the parkish jump line freestyle besides there is really no park except for a couple mini jumps and a few boxes.
