signal park rocker light? - Snowboarding Forum

hey guys, i saw an offer that i just can't refuse so i'm planning on picking one up. how does this ride? i come from 152 o-matic boron. directional twin, rode great but i thought it was a bit stiff for jibbing goodyness and buttering. i spend about 30% of my riding in the park but it'll probably increase this season

5'7", 138 lbs. should i go for 148 or 151? i want to get more into park this year, but since i'll be teaching most of my friends (it'll be their first time snowboarding this winter) so i'm most likely going to stay on groomed surfaces for the first half of the season. i'm eyeing the 148 right now.. my base is mtn creek in jersey, it can get really icy so i was wondering how this rocker works in icy surfaces as well.

148 is a good bet if you want to do more park. You're very light. Signal makes great boards so you can't really go wrong with either choice. Still, Jersey is at the ice coast and Signal doesn't offer any edge tech. I don't know how set you are on these two boards. If you're open for other suggestions, the Arbor Westmark 150 sounds like the perfect board for you.

Its a great board you'll love it.

It's funny because when I read some of the Korean riders' reviews they all said that it was heavy and had a harder flex than they thought.

heavy surprises me. But it is actually stiffer than the Park. With the way we do rocker it doesn't feel stiffer. So you get the benefit of having a stiffer more stable board but its still very playful in the tips but jumpable.
