Salomon Fastback too much for me

Hi Guys - would appreciate some advice for a newbie to these forums and boarding technology. I am looking to step down from my Salomon Fastback 167cm. Is the ride antic 163 suitable? I can buy a new one on discount for $150.
As i age (37) the fastback has become too much board for me; in fact it probably always was. I had to work too hard on carves, and on narrow slopes ended up sliding and slipping too much as the turning circle on this beast was large. It was good on powder though.
I've boarded for about 10 years. Averaging somewhere between 5-10 days a season. I can get down just about any west or east coast run though its not always stylish. That includes black mogul fields. I can comfortably link dynamic carves which is probably my favorite activity. I enjoy powder but dont often see it, so probably spend more time on groomed trails than anything else; though i do enjoy backcountry if possible. I have zero interest in the park. Weigh 190lbs and am 6'2" with slim size 11 boots (salomon f22s).
Advice greatly appreciated!

You could probably go even smaller given how little you ride. Maybe look in the 158-161 range.
