153cm regular camber ok for me @ 5'9" and 180lb?

Hey

I'm 5'9" and have recently cut my weight down from 200 to just over 180lb. Yes, muscle - not fat!

I mainly ride a 159cm RC board by Endeavor; and also have a 161cm stiff cambered board I recently picked up for charging (haven't had much chance to ride it yet).

I regularly hit the park at my indoor snowdome in preparation for the coming season, mainly to work on jumps. Just booked trip #1 with a crew of new friends who, I understand, are pretty advanced - should be good!

I enjoy my 159RC a lot, but noticed most of the guys there riding much smaller boards. I asked around and they said that - even at my weight - they'd recommend low-mid 150s; and that camber is the choice for guys serious about 'pop' and control.

Whilst I'm pleased with progress, I'm keen to try a smaller board just for messing around on-piste with increased manoeuvrability. With the two boards I have already, a small cambered board seems like it could complete my quiver.

I've found somewhere with a couple of Endeavor Lives in regular camber at a great price - one at 153cm and on at 156cm.

I'd like to go for the 153cm (as it will be a real contrast to 159cm) and stick my Union Force bindings on.. You reckon it can take me?

What are you talking about?

I've posted about my binding choice in the binding forum; and thought I'd check out that 153cm would be cool in the snowboard forum.

Bindings in the binding forum; snowboard in the snowboard forum.

Rather logical, I'd say.

It's been mentioned in my other thread; no-ones said anything in a couple of hours and as it's a snowboard query, this seemed the place for it.

More to the point, either of you could have given some useful advice already.
