Edge damage - Snowboarding Forum

Anyone have an idea of how much you'd pay to repair an edge like this, and what would be involved? should the whole section of rail be replaced? Straightened? base patch?

Theres no straightening that! You would have to cut it and put a new piece in then epoxy and press the base back down

That's a minimum of $100 here. I was looking at buying the board and then fixing it but I might give it a miss now!

honestly i wouldnt even bother trying to replace the edge, its a waste of money. if you want to still ride the board just break that edge off and fill the hole with epoxy. depending on where that is if you try and repair it it'll prob fall back out within a day or 2 tops.

You are right not to buy that one. Edges can be cut out and a new section added, but if the damage is on the board's running edge like this is, it takes a big toll on performance and longevity.
