Hi all,
I`m looking for a board witch leans abit more towards park as to speeding of pistes. I like a board with an extreme pop so I can turn every piste into a 'park' . I especially like doing big ollies/grab tricks when going fast on a red orso.My first choice was the Ride Society (wich has superb graphics). But from reading all the posts here, I started to hesitate between the Ride Society and the Rome Agent ![]() Can one give feedback who has experience with one of these boards or with another board for my purposes ![]() Owyeh, and vote for society or for agent

Here's what I was considering:
Rome Agent, and they still have a few sizes left on sale at REI.com. I just got mine yesterday so I can't say from riding experience, just word of mouth. I would go with this board if you can afford it. The K2 Darkstar got two awards and took the #1 board overall for boards under $400. It's purpose is to be an all around board, but geared towards freestyle. The AfterBlack is the wide version and the Believer is a little more expensive version, with a little more tech built in. I would have bought the the Believer in a local shop at 50% had I not bought the Agent, with the Darkstar/AfterBlack being my next choice. Ride Society is supposed to be more than 60% park board from what I have read. The Concept TMS is the 60/40 you would want, also from what I have read. The graphics on those boards though are pretty poor and I haven't heard anything about their pop. |

Thanks all for the reply's and other hints.
I`ve been looking deeper into all the boards and I`m probably going for the Rome Agent. This seems to be the best board that matches my riding-style, and I start to like the graphics ![]() Owjeh, Livelyjay? Could you post a review when you have ridden your Agent for the first time, or just give a fast feedback if possible? That will pull me over the line in making my decision

Ummmm, yeah, you're going to be waiting till November/December for my first review, because there's no snow left. My new boots get in today so I may stap into the board to see how poppy/buttery it is, but as for riding that won't happen for a very long time
Here's my review: good price, good company, nice flex, conservative graphics, freestyle geared all mountain board, twinish shape. That's all I needed/wanted in a board (good price being #1). I picked it over the K2 mostly because of customer support. I actually heard back from Rome, whereas I heard nothing at all from K2 when I asked them questions.Suburban Blend got a good suggestion in there with the Capita, but it's a directional board, where as the group I suggested are twin tips. Since you want an all-mountain that's more freestyle, I would definitely get something that is Twin or Twin-ish. |

Yup, I totally agree with your constraints for a new board.
So thats it, I`m ordering the Rome Agent 160 (or 158). The other boards are nice suggestions but I also want a twin AND nice graphics (the other boards are rather ugly, especially the capital.) So basically the Rome Agent is it for me. Now it`s just a matter of finding an online retailer that can deliver in Europe (not as trivial as you think it is ).PS: @LivelyJay too bad you have too wait some time to ride your Agent on the snow. Must be hard to have a very nice board but to wait 5 months before riding
