2013 GNU Park Pickle vs. 2013 NS Evo

i am asking for my room mate. he cannot decide between the pickle or the evo. he has been using the pickle for the last 4 years and likes the magnetraction. how does the variogrip compare?

just for comparison, a 150 evo is 5.88lbs while a 150 pickle is 5.99lbs
