I'm wondering what your stance width is. From the sounds of things you are set up super narrow or something. Also how are you trying to ollie? The banana isn't the greatest for pop by any means, but it is not a hard board to ollie either. Also how long have you been taking on rails? None of these questions are meant to be dickish either, I'm just trying to see if you can be saved the expense of buying a new board if you don't need one. |

I think pretty much. The only differences I see (for the 2011 version at least because I think they discontinued the darkstar) are that the parkstar is rocker/flat/rocker while the darkstar is flat all the way to the ends. This makes the parkstar a bit more flexy and fun and a bit better for the park. I have to say it handles extremely well all mountain as well though. Other than that, they sound pretty similar. The price tag is about +$30 for the parkstar. This is just buy stats and reviews since I have never actually ridden the darkstar. If you loved the darkstar though I'd be willingly to bet you'd love the parkstar at least as much if not more.
