rome slash changes

i'd like to pick this deck up for next year, so i emailed rome to see if they were going to be making any changes for next years model. this is the email i got back.

Hey Gabe,
The Slash is going to be basically the same next season, but it will
be lighter and there will be more length options for the board.

i'm thinking i'll hold out. thoughts?

='( seems like im not the only one who wants a Slash lol. im actually thinking the same thing, since i want a 160 and lowest atm is 300, and im thinking i can get newer version next season for 350. if youre 156-158 and interested in the most recent models, try this.

noooooo, haha. i was looking at the 156 (i'm 6'4" 165). but also kind of wanted to hold out for the lighter board and maaaybe some new grapics (i know i know, so superficial ) but those aren't a big deal. there's also something about buying a board at the begining of a season thats really rad. kinda hard to get excited about a new board when i can't ride it for 7-8 months. but 235 for the slash = wow. any advice?

Damn, that means the Agent is going to be lighter next season too. Seriously though, is it worth the extra $120 for next year when it's only going to weight a few ounces less? I doubt they can really shave significant weight off of the board, so to me it wouldn't be worth it. Jump on that Slash for $235!

I don't want to hijack this thread, but I just saw that deal and was wondering if you guys think a slash will be wide enough for my size 13 boots? (156, 258 w.w.) Other wide boards I'm considering are all over 260mm, with most being 264ish.

absolutely. i have size 14s and those will work. check out this review on boardreviews.com. the guy has size 14 feet and had zero problems with toe drag. in fact, having it being slightly more narrow will increase your heel to toe speed.
