This season I'll be working on the mountain in Aspen. While I'll be working on Buttermilk, I will do most of my riding in the Highlands or Snowmass. I have not ever rode these mountains.
I'm 155 lbs, 5' 10 (thinking ~158cm). I almost never ride the park, but will hit a jump or two. I like blues, blacks, the trees, powder and groomers. So I'm leaning toward an All-Mountain/freeride board. In browsing the forum here, I'm looking at these boards (all 2011 models): - Ride Highlife, $300 (MSRP: 550) - Ride Antic, $220 (400) - K2 Raygun, $220 (350) - Ride Berzerker, $290 (490) I'm leaning toward the Antic because of the discount. My budget is about $400 for boots, bindings and board, $500 max. Any suggestions for boots or binders would also be greatly appreciated! Last edited by rockandroll; 10-13-2012 at 04:06 PM. |

Go spend your most time, money, and effort to find boots that are comfy. Since you are on a budget, boots should get first consideration. You could easily find used board+binding for 200-250 for what you need. Are you going to be working in these boots? Also something to consider (which changes the whole dynamic).
Try 32's, I love both pairs that I have. Nike runs narrow and is a running company, fuck them. k2, Burton, and Salomon are probably frontrunners for most liked brands around here besides 32.
