Another Coda or Attack Banana?

I had a coda that got stolen at the end of the season. I really liked the full rocker feel with grip tech, it was just fun all over the mountain.

I can't decide if I should order another coda or try the attack banana. The attack banana also seems to pretty much be full rocker only with mtx instead of grip tech and technically I would rather have a true twin, but that doesn't really matter.

Has anyone ridden both? Any opinions?

I have/had both and I'd take the Coda hands down. Sold the Attack Banana a week after I bought it.

Try this trick and spin it, yeah

I am interested in what your were experiencing. After a decade away from boarding I purchased an Attack Banana last year and it seems like a nice board but perhaps I am missing something? Am I going to have to pull the trigger on the Never Summer Cobra that looks so good?

Attack Banana was missing something for me. When I rode it, I just felt meh. It's damp. It's stable. It has pop. But in a direct comparison to the Proto, which I rode that day, I was all about the Proto over that board.

Keep in mind that the Attack Banana is MUCH more stiff than the Coda. The Coda had more play in it, but was very stable still.

Third season on the Trice- it's looking a little sad but still unbowed. The Attack felt stiff AND washy at the same time. I just hated it. I've never been on a board where I actually had to think everytime I laid it on edge. Sold it to a dude at Okemo on the mountain for $350.

Not saying you're going to have the same experience. You might love the Attack and think I'm nuts. It's just not for me.

The Coda on the other hand is the exact opposite. Totally predictable, snappy, loose, smooth etc etc.

Try this trick and spin it, yeah

How do you compare the coda to the proto? Did you like the proto over the coda as well?
