I don't know how is related the waist width on a board with the shoe size.
Ex: if the waist on a board is 25 or 25.9cm would a 10.5 boot be ok considering it's 28.5 cm?
How much extra room is would be allowed avoiding overhang?

I ripped my last toe cap binder on my 58 custom 09' and I want to avoid this on my new setup

Waist width does not matter, it is about width at the inserts.

Read wired's excellent summary here - somebody really should turn it into a sticky, this get asked almost every day...
