Hey, first post my name is josh and i've been snowboarding on and off for about 3 years now which leaves me wondering. Why have I not bought a snowboard yet when i could have bought 2 with the amount of my spent in rentals? Well its time to finally buy one.
I am about 5'5 weigh 117 pounds and would like an all mountain board. I have mostly road mountain but i think I'm gonna start experimenting with park. I have done plenty of research and narrowed it down to a couple. Flow Verve - Ride Machete - K2 Raygun Which one would be best and provide me the best hybrid between park and mountain possibly a little more mountain. My budget is less than 300. Thanks! Note: Looking more and maybe a k2 turbo dream? I dont know ppl say good things and bad things about all boards. Do you have any recommendations? Last edited by jhitt27; 11-01-2012 at 06:37 PM. Whats up Josh?! Out of your list, I'd recommend Raygun. Whatever you get, make sure it's soft and/or short, considering your weight. My guess is somewhere around 142-145cm for a freestyle board.

I just bought my first board and it's a Raygun! It won the Transworld Goodwood award for the <$450 category for all mountain. I've heard nothing but good things about this board. If you are on a budget it's hard to beat. I got mine on evo.com for $225!
You can get free shipping for that in the states too!I of course had to pay for my mom to reship it to the great white north. Cost me an extra $100 in shipping and fees. ![]() Fucking Canada!... |

At 5'5" a 150cm would probably come up to where? Just about nose height? My 159cm is just below my nose. That's on the long side, but not crazy. I of course weigh 195 lbs. You cold always look at girls boards. I hear a lot of smaller guys ride girls boards. You don't want one with a pink flowery top sheet, but there are lots of cool decks out there.
