Thanks for your other reply btw She is just a groomer rider. No jumps, no trees, will venture into power on powder days. She will never go into a park. |

Haha, that kind of sucks that she cares about the name
It sounds like she cares about the fashion and the idea behind the snowboard. The Roxy Ollie Pop is probably the best bet. It's a really good Mervin C2BTX snowboard, but it's a soft twin. The Roxy Banana Smoothie is an EC2 board, a bit stiffer. It looks really cool, (I think the Ollie Pop is kind of ugly this year). Other options: Arbor Swoon (All-mountain, 'Mountain' Twin) Arbor Cadence (Park-oriented, Twin) GNU B-Street (Park-oriented, Twin, C2BTX) GNU B-Pro (Park-oriented, Twin, C2BTX, the graphics has pink unicorns )Smokin' PYT Smokin' Vixen |

I would look into Roxy, the boards are pretty. They are women specific for sure as far as flex and cut go. I have a vagina and I never got snow in it. |

You made a thread where you ridiculed questions about women's snowboards. That's funny! It's also why smart phone auto correct typos are hilarious. I thought it was pretty obvious. You wouldn't have made the thread otherwise. |

I didn't read this thread, but based on the first post, she clearly sucks at riding and improving isn't a priority, so what she gets really doesn't matter. Pickup a copy of the TW Snowboarding Gear Guide from a couple months ago and have her flip through it. She can then pick the board she likes based on graphic/name. Then you pull out your wallet, buy it, and it's done.

Capita has some fucking rad graphics too. Birds of a Feather Space Metal Fantasy Saturnia have sick graphics this year. Two of my homegirls have a lipstick and Roxy respectively and love theirs. If she doesn't care about actually riding and wants to just make it down the hill and look cool. I'd go Space Metal Fantasy or V-Rocker Lipstick Cool looking boards, spooned tips nice, forgiving rocker....and if she feels like being serious, they can be serious with her. Space Metal is cheaper, if that matters. Last edited by phony_stark; 11-08-2012 at 05:37 PM. |

I always thought it was funny that when I sold a snowboard to a guy, we would have a long talk about what kind of riding he does, the tech in each board, sizes, stance, specs, etc. when a woman comes in and I ask her what kind of riding she does and she says "... well... my outfit is blue, so I want something kinda blue." I cracked up the first time I heard this but it happened every time. color over ruled price by a large margin too.
Good luck. and good job doing all the research for her. |
