i'm thinking about buying a waxing iron and some wax and just wax my board myself. i've never ever waxed before, but i'm usually good at this kinda stuff.
will it be hard to learn? is there room to majorly fuck up? and is it a bad idea to attempt my first try on my brand new board? also, will i be able to learn enough by checking out youtube vids? oh, and what do i need to sharpen the edges? thanks in advance! |

you can just use a regular iron. get one for $10 somewhere. you can put aluminum foil on the bottom to stop the wax going in the holes (if you want - I never bothered).
I've given up scraping btw. I just put on a lighter coat of wax and let it come off naturally. I'm not racing, so if I want to go faster I turn less |
