Hey all I have a dilemma I'm hoping you all can help I currently have a 2007 burton custom 162 and a 2010 burton custom 158 v rocker and love my boards! I'm an intermediate boarder been snowboarding for about ten years get out about 15 days a year(I live in miami) Ilove the woods, chutes, hauling butt down groomers and live for deep powder. last year I tore up both my boards in Tahoe with the crappy conditions so now I have to replace one of them I'm leaning toward the burton 160 I'm 6'0 185 but my buddy told me I have to get a never summer SL or cobra and forget about burton I need some input from you experts out there should I go with the never summer?????
Plenty of other boards great and better for every comparable model. You will just find a big NS fanbase here that is probably not representative of actual board on mountain population.
FWIW I ride NS for a few reasons but there are many other boards I'd love to ride and would fully consider, but since riding and owning a ton of different boards is not likely in the cards for me...I choose NS thus far.
I'd consider boards from Ride, Rome, Signal, Echelon and Arbor very strongly.
If you're only going to be in powder or groomers, get a Raptor. If you want to be able to play around with a little freestyle, the Never Summer Heritage has you covered.
I've similar experience and style to you. I went from a 07ish 162 Custom to a 161 SL last season and so far I'm very happy. It'll be damper and stiffer than your flying V but that's a good thing.
Ok so I went with the NS thanks for the input guys ill post pics of my new setup when it arrives I went with the NS Cobra got it from paragon sports online for 445 if anybody else is interested in a good deal. I just really wish I would have seen the brothers in arms edition earlier the American flag on a board is awesome
Nice choice, glad you got it! I'd personaly like to pick up the Cobra. Once it's in the finances, I think I will.
And, btw, you need to move man. Miami? Snow man, snow.
