Board Width?

I am trying to figure out if I need to go with a wide board or not. I am size 11 boot. Beginner snowboarder. I am looking at board with a 249 width. Will I be Okay with this board?

If you angle your bindings, you should be okay. I have a size 12 boot and have demoed 248s before. However, I would personally not consider buying one, as I am only 14 yeers young, and my feet are likely going to grow larger. If you think your feet are going to get bigger, than look at a midwide (254 - 258). Otherwise, demo a 249 first (tho it's hard this time of year) and see if you can ride it sans toe drag. I almost gauruantee that your toes will hang, but maybe not enough to drag. Also, consider risers, that raise your foot up off the board incrementally. I have not tried these, but apperently they usually work pretty well. Also, consider other things like your weight and height, and preferred riding style. And If you're looking at a Burton Cruzer, DONT BUY IT. But you're probaly not looking at a cruzer. So thats all.
