Help for first board

Sorry guys for the ultra noobish question but what would some of the best boards for a complete beginner to get? I want to ride like 70% freestyle and 30 percent freeride.

I can tell you the boards I WISH I would have had as a complete beginner.

Capita Indoor Survival
Bataleon Whatever
Burton Joystick/Hero
Yes Basic.

Ride machete
Maybe not the machete, but it would be great if you are a quick learner.

I rented several different types then settled on the Burton Joystick (rocker). Best decision I could have made and have been completely satisfied.
