This is my first ever setup for snowboarding that I just got. Please comment.

Burton Custom 158cm

Union Flight Bindings

Burton Hail Boots

I am 5 foot 11, 160 pounds, slim athletic build. I am going to ride mainly freestyle but will do some free riding on the groomers as well.

Ya dude, that'll kill it for you. Other than your boots randomly deciding not to fit, it'll be a good set up for what you're doing. Have fun on it!

are they lighter than malavitas? I got a pair of '12s that to me are very light, but I'm comparing pretty heavy bindings previously (k2 uprise, some metal rides)...

just curious, honestly the lightness of stuff is supremely overated imo. all that should matter is comfort, flex to personal taste, and indestructibility.

I could easily lose alot more weight (or even increase strength!) than buying all the lightest gear could save me, and that would just be the first 5 lbs..
