The boards are identical in shape but the laminates are different (Core and topsheet). That changes response and feel - a little.
Bamboo veneer in the topsheet vs mixed wood inlay veneer - is there a difference? Possibly you will feel a bit more liveliness from the Bamboo but... Both have a poplar core with bamboo stringers. The Coda has the stringers at the edges while the Element has the stringers at the midline. This can have a subtle effect on edging vs pop, but it is very subtle. This is primarliy an issue of styling. |

While we are on the Arbor topic:
-Anyone know the difference between the Cascade (REI exclusive design) and the Element RX? Seems almost identical except the price tag (Cascade is $419 on sale right now)... -How is the Element RX going to compare to a hybrid board? I'm leaning towards a NS Cobra, Gnu Billy Goat, Lib Lando. I ride groomers, glades and look for pow in the Cascades. No park. Figured a stiffer board with the hybrid would give me what I want....but I am just in love with the look of the Arbor boards. My "research" has steered me away from the Rx (pure rocker), but maybe I should still consider it? |
