Edges rusting - Snowboarding Forum

So I have a 2012 rome reverb rocker that I just got for this season. I rode it about a week ago for the first time and today was looking at it and noticed the edges are rusting really bad. What should I do to stop this?

If it's on the surface, just scrape it off. You don't have a problem unless there are holes in the metal. You can also wax the edges post-season, just remember to scrape it off next time you ride.

It doesn't seem to be just on the surface.

Post pics of it as it is, scrape as much off as you can, then post more pics please

The rust will disappear after a few runs down the mountain. You have nothing to worry about.

I am just worried if it will ruin my edges. I am only worried because I haven't seen any other board's edges rust like mine.

bring a towel whenever you go boarding and dry off the edges when your done with mountain. keeps my rails looking good.

Well I brought my board home inside of the car then when I got home I put it in my bag with the bag OPEN. Could this of been the problem? Should I store it out of the bag completely for like a day next time? Also would this mean I shouldn't store my board in the bag if I take my truck? I don't really want to just throw it in the bed though.

Thanks next time I will leave my board out of the bag after I wipe down the edges.
