Rome Anthem 156 vs. Burton Custom 156

I am going to buy a new board soon. I was all set to buy a custom 156, but then I started lookin more at the romes. I love the look of the Anthem and believe that it is a better quality board. I will be using it on a small resort on hardpacked and icy conditions, doing a few big jumps and the random rail or box. I weigh 175ish so I wanted to get a 156 board and be able to throw it around easy. I am an intermediate rider.

What do you all think. Will the rome be too stiff? Is the custom bad on icy conditions? Will the 1 degree base edge bevel on the rome need to be tuned to 2 degrees for doing small tricks and boxes etc? What degree does the custom have? How light is the Anthem compared to the custom?

Let me know what you think. I really like the specs of the custom, 10mm setback vs. 20 mm setback, softer flex, but man that anthem looks sooo sweet and I think it will be more stable bombing down the hill.

Please help me decide. If you have experience on these boards let me know what you think of them.

How do you think a custom x 156 would compare to the anthem, flex wise?

Ok, first, NEVER buy a board based on mere "looks."

Second, what type of riding are you going to be doing the most of? My house mate has a Custom and I would never take that thing anywhere near the park. Way too stiff.
