Five Board Giveaway - White Friday Super Stoker!

Hope you guys are getting in some turns today and feasting hard! :cheeky4::cheeky4:

We know that the economy is pretty harsh right now and that many would-be-new-riders are parked on the sidelines by a lack of funds. We want those people riding in 2013 and we are going to get that going, shite economy or not. We need your help!

Here is how this special stoker will work. We will give away Five boards this time.

The decks are brand new. They will have some superficial cosmetic blems and they will be trad cambered boards but they are 100% awesome for ripping on. These are all wood core decks and they are available in most men's and women's sizes.

What we want from you: A post in this thread with your description of why the person you have in mind is the most deserving soon-to-be-boarder ever. That's it. As always we will ship these in US for free. These 5 will be chosen by our staff (not in a raffle like we usually do).

In seriousness, there is nothing we dig more than getting new riders on snow and we love to be able to do these stokers during the holiday season. This will go on for 5 days only so now is the time!

Yeaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!

Awesome!!! Thanks again this is a great idea for a contest. Seems like a great way to get people talking about your boards too... I'm sure it's tough to read all the threads on here asking for board suggestions and in the back of your mind you're thinking "we've got a board for that"...

Aww dammit...too late? My brother could really use a board, I already have boots/bindings I can give him. He's been riding wake with me for years, I got him on the snow last year and he didn't do well, I think my board is too much for a beginner, and the rentals at the local suck nuts. Oh and he's a broke ass park ranger that does his job because he loves it not for the money.

Hey guys,

STOKED!

That was harder than expected. A lot of strong entries and not a lot of agreement on our side. These are the winners (the ones that got more than a single vote from the 5 members our panel):

Triple8Sol
Fuelrush
CypherChic
Poutanen
onthefence

Please email wiredsport@wiredsport.com and let me know the weights and foot sizes of the riders that you will be setting up. Also please send your name and shipping address. Thanks for all of your entries!

Sorry for negativity and i think this is terrific, but i wonder how much of those wining entries were actually true. Maybe you should of asked for a picture of the person that your giving the gear to with the person thats writing the entry?
Really? I was going to post a long winded statement about how people with your mentality are whats wrong with so many things in today's society, but then I realized, I just feel bad for you. I hope in this holiday season you can possibly learn to trust your fellow man/women.

If you issue is not trust then it is important to note jealousy will eat you away.

Congrats to all the winners! For the dude that's worried about if the stories are true, serioulsy? C'mon man, you gotta be kidding me. Don't hate just because you didn't win. I personally know Triple8Sol so I can vouch for the authenticity of his story. Trust me, dude does not need to lie to win some gear for himself, he has plenty already. I suspect the rest of the folks are the same way. Learn to have a little faith in humanity, even if humanity isn't always deserving of it.

Oh no, I trust people i meet, but anybody trusting someone over internet that he never meet before is just silly. Yes, we are honest and civilized people but there is a chance, anyways congratulations to winners and im sure they are going to love it. Besides i never expect to win anything, i never do.
Great idea and cudos to Wiredsport for being such a awesome place for snowboarder to shop and providing for community.

Same here! I'm scheming with my neighbours fiancee to get him bindings ASAP, then if I can just figure his stance I'll set it up for him and we'll give him the board in time for his wedding next month... I have a feeling the guy is going to be just a little excited! :D

Wow this is so incredible... Tony probably won't even believe me when I say he won a snowboard until I give it to him, and then he will probably have that deer-in-the-headlights look that is slowly replaced by victorious grin of excitement =)

Thanks guys for making this an extra special holiday season for him.

Its all good

Yep that was a fantastic opportunity to get someone a board who is deserving but may not justify spending the money on themselves. Thank you wiredsport. I ran 5k with The Big Hungarian this evening in our local park. I thought sure I could grab him one of the boards offered. He is a great person & I would love to have helped him out. Some stories do sound a bit far fetched. Anyone doubting should check the Sharon PA Herald obituaries for Thanksgiving Day... Frank Sr was 81

Wow , wiredsport you guys are great!

I am currently teaching snowboarding to my international students ( most of them comes from China and some of them from Middle East). As you know, snowboarding is so underrated in that area and some of them barely seen snow before coming to school here in colorado. On a weekly basis, I take on 2-3 people in my car and teach them at copper. They are using my gears now and although I strive to deliver the best teaching quality, seeing my NS and GNU and expensive bindings banging around isn't a fun thing to complement. In addition, the size discrepancy and board differences are causing a nuance for my teaching skills abilities.

If I ever deserve the boards, I can just take on more students and teach them more efficiently. Thanks for reading
