I am looking for a new board that is fun in the park but can also handle the rest of the mountain- groomers, pow, etc. I am 16 years old, I weigh 145, I'm 5' 9" tall, and I have a size 10.5 boot, but I will probably be buying a size 11 next season, as I am still growing. I've been looking around at quite a few different boards, and I have found some that I think might work for me. They are the Signal Rocker Light, the Signal Omni, the Forum Bully, the Arbor Westmark or Blacklist, Gnu Carbon Credit, the 2012 Rome Mod Rocker, or the 2012 Bataleon Riot. Which of these boards do you think would work best for what I want? Are there other boards that you would recommend too? Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the suggestions. I also saw the Yes The Greats board, and I was wondering if you have ridden it before? The asymmetric sidecut is interesting, and I was just wondering how it performed.
Thanks for the reply. I am leaning towards Arbor right now. Is there really much difference between the Blacklist and the Westmark? Is it necessary for me to step up to the mid wide board with a 10.5/11 boot?
The Westmark is a sick, sick board.
A couple of my buddies ride it and love them. Surprisingly, they've been one of the best sellers at the shop as well this year.
dont know what everyone else thinks but I just picked up last years flow verve based on similar interests and feedback from people here on the forum. It seems to be a little more park oriented and is also more of a budget board but might be something to consider. I got it in a 149 because I weigh 135 but I believe it comes in a 151 as well.
I think I want a rocker or camber rocker board, not full camber. However, if I do get a full rocker board, I want it to have decent pop still. I have had rocker boards in the past, and I really like how playful and forgiving they are.
I have narrowed it down to the Nitro Rook, the Flow Era, and the Arbor Westmark. Which of these is the best all-around board, in your opinion? I was also wondering if anyone has ridden the Rook, I've never had a flat board before so I was wondering if they actually feel less playful than other boards. Thanks!
Between the Era and the Westmark, which is more flexible? I would be using it more for park than all-mountain riding. Thanks!
