Every year we seem to get at least a couple of threads about some really terrible innovations to the tried and true "classic" snowboard design. For some reason Dual Boards keep coming up again and again. Here's a couple of bad ones I've found that are at least equally bad.
Hangboards: HangBoard And teleboards, some sort of a weird combination of telemark skis, a monoski, and freecarve snowboard: Are there any other weird snowboards out there that don't already have a thread on SBF? The Dual Boards thing has already been beaten to death and there has to be other ones that are worth a few chuckles.

The first year I competed in the BAKER banked slalom, a guy from Canada I believe had this deck not much bigger then a skate deck with bindings, but it had two approx 4 foot long twin tipped ski's that were mounted side by side, that you rode like a snowboard, tried to Google it but couldn't find it. The guy actually finished in the top 5.
There was a guy from the BAKER area that invented a chainsaw driven snowboard. They did a show on him on one of the local shows, all he could do was ride it on flat groomed telemark trails and the skinny skiers hated him, they were going out for a peaceful trip, then here comes 2 stroke snowboard guy .Say it aint true, snowlerblading Dual Snowboards Team Rider Adam "A-Dawg" Goren - YouTube |
