Anyone use them? i'm thinking i might want to finally get a helmet and i don't really like just the regular helmets.

so i was wondering if anyone has any experience with them, the only two i've seen are the 661 and giro helmets. are there any others?

Giro, Bell, Mace, 661, all make good helmets. Go try a bunch on before you buy though. A not-properly fitted helmet is useless. And for snowboarding, fullfaces are a bit overkill, IMO.

i agree with boarder about the overkill unless your doing boarder cross. any particular reason you want a full face?

Well for glades mostly, and i don't really like those regular helmets.

The regular helmet is a pain as it is already, I can't imagine wearing a full helmet. I kind of brings me back to my motorcycle riding, those things are annoying and heavy, but I do have to say they saved my life twice.

does someone know if full face helmets affect your peripheral vision?

troy lee designs makes pretty nifty looking snowboard helmets. I have a few MX helmets made by them. I know the website says that they are bicycle helmets, but their catalogue says there for snowboarding/snowmobiling too.

I wear a full face for mx as long as it fits correctly it shouldnt affect your peripheral vision. Your able to see everything you need to see.

I have a troy lee made for BMX riding that comes out when I'm doing something huge.

Very light, very comfortable. The vents actually work really well. Probably the nicest full face helmet I've ever tried on.
