Please help me choose between 2 lengths of this board - Snowboarding Forum

Hello, I have to choose between the Rossignol Krypto in 159 or in 163 (purely freeride all mountain board - experienced rider)

I am 6'2" and I weight about 155-160 lbs right now. They have same width so boot size doesn't apply.

Which board would you suggest I use? I know it's not a big difference, but I have the choice before I spend the cash, and would like to see recommendations.

Appreciate the help.

As an experienced rider the best person to make a recommendation is yourself. Go with your gut.

what kind of conditions do you normally ride in?

If it is a lot of powder all the time, go with the longer board.

It it is groomers, man made, little bit of powder, i would go with the shorter board.

I have gotten mixed advice from a couple people, 3 for the 159 and 3 for the 163, hahaha.

My old board is a 161, too bad they don't do that in this year's Krypto.

If your freeriding is big mountain, I would vote for the 163. However, if your freeriding is purely in bounds, resort riding, then I would say the 159 would be just fine. Realisitically though, they will both work fine for you and it will be more of a personal preference than anything else.
