Salomon Grip vs Villain

Anybody have any experience with these boards?

Looking for a smaller/more playful board. Probably going to spend half my day or so in the park, mix of jibs and jumps.

Other board I'm considering is the Arbor Westmark (maybe Blacklist?)

Just moved to Whistler, 145 lbs, 5'10" 10.5 boots (little big on me though) coming from a 2011 156 Never Summer Legacy. Looking to move down to a 154 or so.

I've got a 161 Yes Pick Your Line that I haven't ridden yet, but I'll probably break that out for powder days.

Villain is a fantastick board. The way Salomon kinda puts it for these two: The Villain is for the park shredder that will ride all mountain, the Grip is for the all mountain rider that will hit the park.

All that out there, the middle ground in their lineup is the Sabotage. Which I found to be fantastick as well.

Blacklist/Westmark is also a great option.

Pick your camber and go with it.

Thanks for the advice, Nivek.

Might order a board tomorrow and have it narrowed down to the 154 Westmark and the 153 Grip.

I read that the Grip is pretty bad in icy conditions. I'll be riding solely in Whistler (usually wet/heavy snow).

Will I be okay with 10.5 boots? Might order some Now IPO's too (currently have Forum Republics).

I just sold my Pick Your Line, might get a serious powder board (like the Hovercraft) later this season, but this will be my only board for now.

Ended up buying the Westmark in 153 for $319 (from Dogfunk with free 2-day shipping) to replace my 156 Legacy.

Extremely happy with it to say the least. Just better in every single way it seems and no compromises yet (haven't ridden more than a foot of powder yet though).

If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.
