Default Are my base plates suppose to put imprints on my topsheet?

I took apart my board to put it away for the summer and discovered theres imprints from my base plates on my board. I have '07 P1's mounted to a '08 Forum Recon. The '08 Recon topsheet has a satin-y finish... It's not deep at all, it definitely has a "rubbed" in look though. Is this a normal thing?

Physical imprints or just markings? Mine have rings from the bindings but no real noticable indent. Even if there is its no biggie, its just the top sheet.
