Arbor Roundhouse or Wasteland?
Am about to pull the trigger on a new board. Could use some advice.
I'm coming from a Bateleon Omni which is a hybrid camber/reverse camber TBT board and I think Arbor may be the new direction for me.
I'm advanced, all mountain rider. I don't hit park nor the trees (yet) but spend a lot of time on the mountain. This is only the beginning of my 4th season riding and last year Mammoth doesn't really count cause we had no snow. But I'm also in my late 30's so not trying to win any trophies. Just like to have fun.
Thing is, I always found myself slower than most of my more experienced snowboarding friends even though I think I have great fundamentals.
- I demo'd an Arbor Roundhouse RX 158 and suddenly found myself 30% faster.
I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on one and saw the Wasteland which I wasn't able to demo. Was wondering if I might not like it more?
I'm not concerned about the extra $ for the upgrade. It's worth it for the life of the board if it's better/lighter, etc.
Any thoughts on the Wasteland vs. the Roundhouse?
I have't ridden either, so I'll try not waste either of our time. What size shoes do you wear? I'm pretty sure the Roundhouse width is intended for larger feet, while the Wasteland isn't. Unless your foot size is right in between the two, that may help you decide.
