Don't side tap shit and your edge won't push in causing it to blow out. 3 year manufacturers warranty. Good thing is they can fix that bad news that's rider error damage.

I can't speak for repairing boards because I'd have no idea what to do in that department...

But however you did it, it's rider error, not a defect.. Warranty ain't gonna cover that.
