Hey guys,
So I just bought the nitro rook 2012, which will be my second board ever. The thing is, I still have entry level boots and bindings: the ride orion and the ride LX. At first I thought it wouldnt really matter since I'm comfy in my boots and I dont really understand bindings, but I did a little research, and apparently they might matter more than I thought. What do you guys think? Should I buy new bindings/boots to match my new board? Last edited by seanvs; 12-10-2012 at 02:04 AM. |

I'm sure other people with much more experience might think different about this, but I experienced it like this. I'm an advanced rider according to the charts from whistler, but I learned everything with an rental board But perhaps you might learn quicker with some better bindings

Boots, board and bindings in that order. The issue of whether or not to upgrade is... if your current equipment is not allowing you to progress skills wise to the next level. I'd suspect a better investment would be to take some private lessons....and a good instructor should be able to note if your equipment is holding you back and he/she should be able to make some suggestions.
