So I am taking a trip out to colorado and I am planning on bringing a second board just for powder. Its my old school Burton Floater in size 163. Will that be good enough for strictly riding deeper powder??
I currently will be riding a 2013 Smokin Superpark wide 159 (will be coming with me also) and I have a Burton Twin 161 that was just replaced by the Smokin. I am sure the twin wouldnt work and its the 2005 model. |

I wouldn't buy a powder board for one trip. Get out here, then if we get a good deep day while you're here, just demo a pow stick.

I used to ride the floater and had a blast on it. Honestly though if your new board has rocker you aren't really going to gain anything. The recommendation to demo real powder boards is a good one though.
