Looks like there is a lip under the stone. Maybe you grip the top and slide it up or down the edge. Only go in one direction.

those are SIDE edge tuners.

You need a 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 if you aren't going with a straight up file guide. I have an older Tools4Boards sharperner that looks similar to this one.

x2 side tuners. BUT you can take the file out and work the base edge with a steady hand

that dakine is the lowest end edge tuner available...it only does the sides.

if you really want to polish the base edge (it's rarely necessary) on the cheap, you're gonna want to use a standard long file with the end wrapped in tape for a bevel (you want to avoid scraping the p-tex as much as possible). Instructions are toward the end of this video:

Toko has a pocket style side + base tuner. I think it's .5 and 1 for base and 88/89 for sides.

I've got one of those. Only fits Toko files, not diamond stones or any other file type.

For the base, get one of these

Beast Base Bevel Guides

For sides, get something like:

SVST Pro-Edge Side Bevel Guides - Aluminum

That way you can use any file or stone
