Googled but nothing was coming up for me. I have a chance to buy a 157W board, but typically wouldn't order a wide board cuz I only wear a size 9 boot. Are there any major issues with riding a wide board and not really needing th width? What are the disadvantages or advantages in riding a wide board in my case.
I'm 170ish lbs. and as stated, I wear a size 9. Will a 157W work for me? |

A wider board will be a lot harder to get edge to edge and turn than one with a waist width that fits your foot size. Depending on the board it could be a little more or a little less difficult. I wouldnt buy it, whatever money you are saving wont be worth it when you're riding.
