Seems they know their stuff. I'm from Europe, don't see many NS's here but afaik they are considered the Rolls Royce of boards. Loads of Nitro and Bataleon here. Might have sumfin tho do with the prices here, the 510$ Legacy that I've been eyeing is around 850$ here.
I think it's cool they don't sponsor a team. Word of mouth is worth a hundred times more and it even reached Europe. Look at all the NeverSummer fans on this forum! |

Which one was it? I just flipped through the last 3 months and not one ad from NS. I have seen the odd ad in print before, but they don't really promote their "team" from what I've seen. I think it's interesting that they are doing things differently, it's obviously working for them. I read an article I found online about the company and found this quote interesting...
"Tracey concedes that the manufacturing component isn't always possible for companies, at least at first, but stresses that product quality should still trump graphics and a stable of high-profile team riders." I don't really like how he kind of shrugs off the graphics (maybe he isn't but that's how I read into it), because that's the one thing I think could use massive improvement in their product. Isn't the graphics part of the entire product? I don't know why they almost seem to want to put such basic and stock looking graphics on their boards. With the money they save from having no team, why not hire a few half decent artists? Here is the article: How Never Summer Shredded the Snowboard Industry With Innovation | Entrepreneur.com |

Their boards look like they are put together by a "graphic designer" as opposed to an "artist". A little variety wouldn't kill them is all I mean, work with a few different people and appeal to a broader scope. Take LibTech for example... Some of their graphics I think are terrible, and some really good.. But they have a lot of variety in the line, multiple artists.

Yeah this years Goat almost had me selling my current board, pretty much on the graphics alone, they are that sick! Who doesn't like wolves and chicks and fire?
I decided against it though and settled for this t-shirt from threadless to satisfy my need for chicks/wolves/fire "HOT CHICKS ON WOLVES" - Threadless.com - Best t-shirts in the world ![]() Now if I could get that made into a custom topsheet???? hmmmm |

Why pay a team when you can just give people with hard ons for free gear that are active online to endorse them? They should be paying people to R and D/endorse online since they aren't using their team to market.
