A little follow up to my first day riding my lobster, also first time on TBT. I will get the graphics out of the way. Yes, they suck. So what? Anyways, my first time riding Lobster, begin.
There were 3 main points i noticed right away.
Speed: Step on it and im like " WHOAHHH", this thing is fucking fast. A little more riding reveals that this thing is really fast, actually so fast i had a hard time controlling it. Makes every flat spot on sunshine seem like a blue run's. The wax absorption is good, at least for me. I did wax it as soon as i got it and then right before the trip. Soooo, yeah. TBT is fast as fuck. Moving on....
Edge: First run was a black run and never been rode the TBT, its was sketchy to say the least. Non the less, the edge was there on run down ice patches and edge to edge was amazing. So smooth and so fast. Carving blacks became fun again. I think the camber and stiffness helped with that alot. So, there is edge grip on TBT unlike some people say. Took 3 turns to familiarizes myself with it and then it was on to the races. Super fun.....
TBT: I have to say that majority of things TBT does for you, listed on Bataleon website, is true. Turn initiation is easy, hard to catch an edge, though not impossible , spins on jumps are easier and loads more. One in particular was how it felt on pow. Damn, is all i have to say. Actually, holy shit. Feels like when you step on a boat on water. Unlike anything i have ever rode before. Feels weird but confident at the same time. Kinda like surfing but softer and more fluid. Hard to explain, anyways. I need to take it to deep stuff, then im going to cry. So good.
Overall, im super stoked on it. I love it. Snowboarding is fun again without having to push myself. Love cruising on it and id love to take it on a long run with beautiful scenery. TBT won my heart, and next year im planning on the camel toe. have a good night.
