My new to me board *pics*
Im a beginner. I picked up this board and bindings for 120canadian. There are some dings on the lip of the board on each side. But can be fixed easily

Seems like a very good deal to me.
I got a 2008 Burton King 167 for half that but without binders.

Probably more with the cartels.
The thing is if a board/set is over 2 or 3 seasons old the worth vaporizes or so it seems. Not everyone has 700$ for a Travis rice or never summer board. I love checking Craigslist for bargains.

I work valet and a random guest asked me if i wanted to buy a board. so I bought it haha

I fail to see the point in this thread :dunno: By the way a lot of boards cost "$500" at one point, but after 5-6 years, you'd be lucky to get $100 (unless its a never summer, lib tech, or in perfect condition still) Basically its somewhat of a marketing scheme. They put $500 "Retail" so when you see the marked down price of $300 you think you got a killer deal when in reality the shop you bought it from only paid $90 :D

woop, if you bought a 2006 custom, I'd be really jealous. Wanted that board ever since i saw it in 2 of my favorite movies. Anyways, old Burton stuff is great because back then they really made their product well build. they still do but less then they used to. Also, those cartels are sick but you might find that the forward lean is too much forward to begin with?
