I've extensively ridden four Never Summers in the past 5 years: a first R&C year SL 158, a Heritage 158, a Proto 157, and a Cobra 158.
On every single one of these boards, reference stance is 21.5". On all of them, I've had a ton of trouble snapping consistent ollies at 23". I don't remember if I've ever tried wider than that, but if I move it in to 22" or event 22.5", I feel fine. Any one else ever experienced this? I'm really trying to figure out if this is all in my head or what. I don't remember ever having this problem on any other boards, but the Never Summers are the only ones I've ridden with center rocker and cambered zones outside the inserts. I can ride them just fine at 22.5", but I really do feel slightly wider in the 23-23.5" range is my anatomical sweet spot. Last edited by kimchijajonshim; 01-09-2013 at 07:34 PM. |
