Gnu 11Up MTX or Rome Flag for first board?

Which would be better? Which would last longer?

I ride freeride/allmountain.
I can get the gnu in 166W
I can get the flag in 168W

I would personally go w/ the Flag. Just a feeling. They are both supposed to be good boards, but I think the Flag is a little more all-mountain focused. The Rome website would describe it as "fun for most everything". The Gnu website describes the 11up as "wide freestyle". Both are good boards, but with different niches. Plus, the Flag looks sweeeet .

I am on the east coast.

But the flag does look better.

I have had 3 people tell me that I should get the flag over the GNU. One of the people said their next board is gonna be one with MTX on it though.

i havent rode either of the boards, but MTX makes a HUGE difference on hard and icy conditions. especially if youre new the MTX will save you from breaking your ass on ice.

I found some great snowboard deals. Could someone tell me, however, if the HEAD Giant 157 snowboard is good? The Rossignol Legion 156? The Nirto Revolt Bindings? I am not a pro, and i dont think getting a burton will make any difference..? Ideas?
