Bought a board but need some info!!!!

So im taking up snowboarding for a new hobby and purchased this board online ,Burton Troop III 158 cm Snowboard (with the snake and skull paint scheme). Anyway i have it shipped to a local shop to touch up and get ready for me and i call and they say its a womens board. lmao. I wear a 11 1/2 boot and am curious as if it will still work for me at the appropriate length for my height cause i am 5'11? ive charted my self and this is the size but my question is the place telling me correct or am i able to use this board at all and what is the difference between the mens and womens boards? If not ima hang it on the wall cause of the paint scheme and get me another.
thanks

Yep that's a women's board. Waist width could be a problem with an 11.5

Don't immediately write off a women's board. Wrathfuldeity rides women's boards (because of his boot size). As long as it's not unicorns and rainbows, at least try it out.

One thing I'm not sure about is whether women's boards tend to have narrower waists or tend to be softer for the same length.

Error 404. Coffee not found.

Waist on this is going to be well under 250mm.

I couldn't find a spec sheet for a 158 so not sure what year they made that. all my google says it was available in 157 through the 2010 season and on the 157 the waist was 245 mm which would likely be trouble with 11.5 boots.

Good plan for it. That board is likely to be too narrow and too soft for you.

Oh yeah!? Well, my mom says I'm cool!
