Help, is there a large difference between a shorter board and a large one? - Snowboarding Forum

Hello, this is my first post.
I am 5"4 weighing 135 lbs boot size 8-9
Current setup :
Burton custom 151 (i like this size, but never have tried anything shorter)
Cartel bindings
burton ruler boots

I want to upgrade to:
Burton Custom X.

The custom x comes in sizes 147, 152, 156, and so forth.
I am interested in sizes of 147 and 152.
Is there a big difference in riding experience? I can't decided between the two as i love to free ride, ride powder, and would like to attempt tricks in the near future. My riding skill is intermediate.
If i were to buy a 147 would i lose lots of speed riding powder or just free riding?
If i were to purchase a 152 would i have a hard time jumping and twisting on to rails?
My main concern is speed

but i still want to hit the rails.
