How much difference does 2cm make?
 

There's an ad on craiglist for a 156 Burton board.The seller says it's too small for him and would be willing to trade for 158. Does 2cm make that much difference. I'm a noob and went from a 150 to 156 and could tell a differnce there.

Well I believe you can feel the difference, but its a small difference. The seller on craiglist must on the lower half of the range for his stats, but he should probably be better of getting a longer size just in case he gains weight.

I used to have a 155 now I own a 154 and I feel the difference, but it's not much.

There is a good chance that there would a big difference in the weight range of the board...so if he is at the high end or to heavy for the 156, it would be very noticeable going to a 158

I guess, yeah, if he's at the heavy end of the range, that would make sense. It just seems like 2 cm is not the much (to this noob) that it would be hard to even notice the difference.

Minimal difference at best.

I really disagree, but can only speak from my experience...I was in a similar situation and the smaller size really lacked the pop the board was supposed to have. Went one size larger...2 cm's and I was the middle of the weight range instead of 5lbs over the range on the smaller board...HUGE difference, but again that was just my experience....BR
