whats up guys, first post here and i can really use your opinions right now.
Im debating between a trice 157 or a 159 trs, im 5 11 190lbs geared with 11 boots, i like riding all mountian, going throught trees, bombing hills, cruising groomed, but maybe sometime venture off into the park when felling risky, but i really like hitting side jumps on trails and going throught trees. i was riding a burton bullet for 8 years which is kinda wide, but i think ill be fine on a normal board with the new boots and shit. i really want to oder this board today so i can ride this weekend, thanks for any into guys, really appreciated and glad to be pard of the forum now. btw im out west |

That's a hard one, but I say 159 TRS. For an all mountain, tree, jump board, I would lean more towards the TRS. The T. Rice I ride just feels more specifically designed for big cliff drops and backcountry booters compared to the TRS, which I only demo'd, which feels just a bit more playful to enjoy tight trees, side hits, boxes and hips in the park and ripping around.

I think it depends on what stiffness you are looking for. Either will do just fine with the stuff you mentioned. I have the 161.5 T-rice and basically do what you said you like.
The rice is just going to be a little more agressive and the TRS a little more playful. You don't need to do big cliffs and BC stuff to really enjoy the Trice. |
