How did I do? - Snowboarding Forum

I just bought my first set of gear. I'm a very first time snowboarder with no experience at all. A seasonal rental would have been $220 without factoring in tax. I decided to buy, since it was not much more.

I got the following for a total of $410 (including tax):
2011 Ride Agenda board (new, but older model)
2013 Thirty Two Summit Boots
2013 Burton Freestyle Bindings

How do you guys think I did in terms of pricing/value? Also, do you think this is an appropriate set of gear for a beginner? Thanks.

Don't see a problem with any of that. Do the boots fit well?

Donutz, thanks for the reply. The boots were comfortable, but I think they were a little too big at size 10, because I felt my heel slipping out of the boot while I was on the board. So I think I'll exchange them for 9.5.

Do it! Boot fit / comfort is the most important thing you can have!

And heel lift is a significant issue.
