Replacing ratchet strap with worn teeth - Snowboarding Forum

I'm about to buy my second board/bindings since starting to ride 3 years ago. I'm going to select strap bindings (again), and am thinking about the teeth on the ratchet strap. This seems to be the weak point of the bindings that I (and my wife) had, and I was wondering if anyone has:

1) ever replaced a ratchet strap after the teeth became worn
2) ever bought a strap binding which allows you to replace the ratchet strap after the teeth become worn
