Artifact? Stairmaster? park steeze question

So with winter approaching and all of last years boards on sale, I've began looking into a park board to pick up for next season. I'm not looking for something super expensive, but i want a legit board. My friend loves his stairmaster and they seem to be super affordable. I've also heard great things about the artifact althoughn its a little more expensive. But I'm concerned that it might be too soft because I'm a pretty big fan of the jumps and not just a rail jock. I was just wondering everyones opinions on these and if you have any other suggestions. Thanks

yeah, the artifact will be too soft for a kicker board, its a decent rail board though.

the stairmaster would be a sick board, twin, able on rails, but not such a noodle that you cant jump with it. another would be the k2 darkstar, or santa cruz kooley, if you can find one. The neversummer Evo would be sick too. cant recommend any sizes without knowing your weight though.

Oh word, thank you so much. Thats really good to know. I'm about 6'1" and 190 pounds with a size 11 1/2 boot so i was thinking something like a 159ish board. Is that darkstar still a pretty soft board like the stairmaster?

yeah, its a step up in stiffness from the WWW which is comperable to the artifact.

and for park, at your weight, i'd say no bigger than 157, if you want something to hit jumps and rails, then a 155/156 would be best. i'm 140 and ride a 148 for rails, a 151 for kickers and rails, and a 153 for pure giant booters/natural terrain. well that is if i had three boards, thats what size they'd be and for what.

ugghhh decisions decisions. what about the burton dominant? i've been looking into this board as well now and can get a good deal on a 156. I'm unsure that thats a big enough size though for a guy of nearly 200 punds. and ive heard that the stances aren't very wide on these either. thanks for the help guys

Its a snowboard tails fucking snap. Bet he landed a little too much in the backseat and it broke. Delams happen, I'm guessing he does rails and it peeled and delamed, or else he was on a Crail, in which case if it was a crail that board had issues with the topsheets delaming because of Elan this past season.
