I just purchased the 2013 burton cartel est bindings, I just have a question for anyone who has set them up before concerning the position of the binding on the board (toe and heel distance from edges). In the middle bubble I have both bindings aligned with the black bubble, but I've seen a picture where the black line was on top of the red line. Is that the set middle contact point of the binding? Thank you for you help in advance.

The lines you are talking about if they're the ones I am thinking of give you a reference point in terms of how far you have the binding toeside vs heelside.
The way I deal with this is to ignore those lines at first and set up my bindings with balanced heel and toe overhang. Then take note or a cellphone photo of where the lines are on the binding so that if you take your bindings off and on you can easily replicate the settings. Another handy trick is to take a pencil or sharpie and trace the sides of the bindings on the board so you can easily realign them if you move them. |
