Help with board size.
Before yelling at me about this question please read it. I realize there are board size charts and general rules to what size you should ride but my situation is a little different. (At least I think it might be.)
My first disclaimer is that I live in Georgia so there aren't exactly tons of shops around for me to go get help or advice from, which is why I am here.
I am 6'1" and I have always had boards that were 156-157, which seem to do ok. It is definitely the right size board for my height. Now my weight is only 125-130 lbs, which is way under the normal weight for that height, and I have read you should take weight into account when picking a board size as well.
As far as the type of terrain I like to ride I love the terrain park. I have been skateboarding for over a decade so I naturally gravitate towards that style of snowboarding. At the same time I usually go on vacation and snowboard with a bunch of people and end up doing just as much normal down the slopes snowboarding as I do in the park, and I want to make sure I can still hall ass past all of my friends. ha.
So my question is do you guys think I should try a smaller board? I know there is no exact answer to this it is all up to me and what feels best, but could I benefit from a slightly smaller board? Thanks in Advance.
