Have you looked into the Rome manual? Its a great board for a first timer still trying to figure out what they want to ride, whether it be park, all mountain etc. It's a wide board so you will have no problems with a size 12 boot. Its also quite soft which is ideal for a beginner. Not only that, but if you do decide to ride a little park and do some jumps with it, the board will perform well.

With all due respect, not one person has suggested a deck that you would outgrow "in a month." On that same note, don't ask for advice from seasoned riders if you don't want to hear the answers. The Manual would be a great board for you for all reason Snowolf and c-dizz listed.

EDIT: i don't mean to sound harsh. It's just that a lot of people come on here asking similar questions with some preconceived notion that they want board X. In fact, they aren't really looking for advice, they are looking for valdiation of a choice they have already made. When they get real advice instead, they can get a little defensive. If I was quick to lump you in that group, I apologize.
