Have you looked into the Rome manual? Its a great board for a first timer still trying to figure out what they want to ride, whether it be park, all mountain etc. It's a wide board so you will have no problems with a size 12 boot. Its also quite soft which is ideal for a beginner. Not only that, but if you do decide to ride a little park and do some jumps with it, the board will perform well.
